If you haven’t marked your calendar already, it isn’t to late yet. HireLive has two upcoming jobs fairs in Orange County and Los Angeles. We know that a lot of job seekers can be hesitant when they hear the words “career fair” or “job fair”, but HireLive recruiting events aren’t your typical college job fair. Put all memories of college job fairs out your mind and replace them with a HireLive job fair.

If you are ready to show up, meet hiring managers and the sit and talk with them about their open positions and how you would fit in their company, then this is a recruiting event you need to attend. HireLive career fairs have 15-25 Fortune 500 and industry leading companies who are looking for sales, retail and management job seekers. They attend these events because they have open positions that they need to fill now. Not only will job seekers meet the hiring managers, but most often they hold first interviews on-site.

Are you worried about being just a resume when you attend? Don”t be. Companies attending HireLive events have private suite to conduct interviews in, so you aren’t just one of many standing in front of table. Recruiters and hiring managers have the time and opportunity to really get to know you and learn what value you can bring to their companies.

Unsure about how to get their attention and leave a lasting impression? First, redo your resume and make sure it is perfect. There are many sites out there that can give you tips and specifics to make your resume shine and stand out, don’t be afraid to use these them. Wear a suit to the job fair. No hiring manager or recruiter will take you seriously if you show up in jeans and a t-shirt. If you want the job, than you need to let them know and look the part. Finally, research and learn about the companies attending. At a HireLive career fair you will receive a guide that will tell you what companies are attending and what positions they are filling, but you can also find this information out ahead of time on our Facebook, Twitter and MySpace accounts.

On March 9th and 10th HireLive will be in Orange County and Los Angeles helping job seekers land their next job and start their careers. These job fairs are perfect for anyone looking to break into or are already in sales, retail or management. Positions range from entry-level to senior-level opportunities. With multiple companies attending you can go on 4-5 interviews in one day. Don”t sit at home and check your email to see if someone found your resume online.
